RJ question for the day:

State a song that made a major impact/change in your life. How has this impact/change affected your life now?

RJ:

I remembered 2 years ago when I was in sec4, when I traveled to Canada to visit my aunt, that was when it all happened. My aunt was an avid listener to classic rock music, and I dare say it was because of her my career choice changed. I remembered she was driving my cousin, sis and I back to her house after getting some take-away burgers at Harvey's, and she was playing "Shoot To Thrill" by AC/DC, she and my cousin were singing to it, and I thought...wow....this is good shit !!! So after that trip, back in Singapore, I thought maybe I should listen to some new stuff. So I d********d AC/DC's whole discography and started listening to them and from there, branched out to other stuff like Led Zeppelin, KISS, Van Halen, etc. Oldies of rock. So how has this affected/changed my life??

Well, just before my 'O' levels, I was in a dilemma. Should I pursue a science-related degree or music-related degree?? I was haunted by that day and night till just before the first paper of the 'O' level examination, I thought to myself, I couldn't stand a routined life that wouldn't have any excitement. Then that's when the major career mindset shift came in, and till now, I don't think I've regretted it. Making it big in this field of music/sound/arts ain't gonna be easy, but that's what's life is about, taking risk and having excitement, at least that's what I feel :)

so basically IGNITE is a student-driven music festival that will be happening in RP from 24th-25th July...

and they needed emcee's, hence the poster above...

so I thought i give this a shot, amid my busy schedule and utterly systematical lifestyle now.
I never thought much of it other than the fact that it would probably make my life more exciting...

who would've thought...

I mean i did try my best for the auditions, and the judges did compliment that I could articulate my words very well, just that I lacked a bit of energy.....but man.....this is really
AWESOME!!!

so yea I totally can't wait for the training and actually event to happen, this is like really gonna be....once again...
AWESOME!!!

yea so do come down for this event, not for me, but to have a rocking good time and just enjoy the music from our local bands...

Although it is not in my nature to randomly blog when I don't feel like it,
it's gonna be different today. I don't feel like blogging, but yet I am right now...

So like there was the ClubG Leadership Camp from Thursday to Friday, and I met really cool people there. The effort we put into our teamwork during the games and planning, felt like we were really bonded and stuff.....even though its like 2 days of knowing the people i don't know over there, we could really work well with each other and corporate as a team.

I would upload pics if i could get them....

Going to Sentosa TWICE within a span of 3 days,
really gives u a good tan/sunburn. I think i may have become "Well Done" if not for the
sunblock lotion....

Luckily I'm still "Rare"....

But its nice ya know?? Just hanging out on the beach with your friends, swimming, playing volleyball, or just plainly having fun with them. Then when your too tired to do any more sports you just sit down with them and chat about random stuff till the full glory of the night dawns on you. That's what I call a fruitful, fully satisfied day...

plus i got to take picture with a python...

and with a friend...

yeap nothing like spending the day in Sentosa...

now you stay classy people !!!
